The Scouting Trail is probably one of the best scouting texts available to Irish scouts. Currently out of print this book contains most of what a scout needs to know. From basic knots to weather lore this is an excellent handbook for new and experienced scouts alike.The Scouting Trail is an excellent support to the One Programme materials.
In my opinion its only downfall is that the promise & law are a little outdated, as are some of the illustrations. Regardless, it is my firm belief that every scout agould have a copy of The Scouting Trail on their bookshelf.
