4th Offaly (Edenderry) Scout Group will be holding a registration night for all new and existing members of the group. Parents, this is your opportunity to enrol your child for the cub pack or the scout troop for the first time or to re-register your child for the coming scouting year 2012/2013.
Youth membership requires an annual registration fee of €50.00. This fee covers membership of Scouting Ireland and insurance for scouting activities. While it is preferable that the full fee be paid on registration night, please feel free to speak in confidence to our scouters about term payments.
The reason we have decided to hold a registration night is to allow our scouters to concentrate on our youth programme without interuptions. However, should a parent wish to speak to our section or group leaders, please make your wish known at the beginning of the meeting and we will be pleased to meet with you afterwards.
Following initial registration there will be a small weekly fee of €3.00. This is what scouts refer to as their 'subs' and goes towards the weekly rental of the hall in the Parish Centre. Additional outlay will include the purchase of the relevent section's uniform which may be purchased from The Scout Shop.
